YALL THIS PLACE IS PHENOMENA! Just went and got the pozole to go and I'm convinced it's the best Mexican food in town!!! Don't skip over this tiny little gem! I will be going back (maybe weekly)
I called a head and ordered green chicken tamales & red pork tamales. I asked for salsa verde to dip my tamales in. I didn't need the salsa, but it was good. The tamales we the best tamales I've ever eaten. I make really good tamales, our friends from Mexico make wonderful tamales, but these were the best I've ever had. I actually found this place by searching on yelp for Tacos and was reading a review for another restaurant and it was saying to come here for the best tamales so I changed my mind and picked tamales and this restaurant and now every time I'm traveling through Texarkana I will be calling ahead for Tamales. The day I called they said it would be about a 30 minute wait. It took me 36 mins to get there and they were ready when I arrived. The place was packed! Service was great and people were very friendly.
The food is so yummy! I try to call in before because the days that they are open tend to get pretty busy. Definitely recommend, authentic.

Whoooooo !!!! Tostadas are the best I've ever eaten!!!! The pork tostadas are addictive! Everyone I know loves this place! The owner, Freddie, literally prepares everything by hand! They are only open on Saturday and Sunday! Be sure to call ahead. Sometimes there is a line out the door!!!!
Still delicious after eight years. I always stop here when I pass through Texarkana. They are still only open on Saturday and Sunday. They now put the green sauce on the table for everyone to enjoy. Their prices have gone up just a little. About $10 for three sopes. Totally worth it. Thank you for all of the great memories Tacos Mi Pueblo. Your family blesses my family everytime we eat here.
Their AL Pastor is the best I've ever had. Been here several times and never had anything bad. It is a family run business, so be patient with the wait. The food is so worth it!
This is authentic mexican food. Loved it! love all what's on the menu so tasteful. Specially there sopes made with that crunch are perfect. Next time we drive through looking forward to tasting the pozole.
They are only open on Saturdays and Sundays but the food is very fresh and awesome! My favorite item is the rice! I love the tacos also and you can buy Mexican cokes here! Yummy! Best Mexican food in Texarkana!!
Food as authentic as it gets. This was better than some of the "Mexican restaurants" I've eaten at in San Antonio and southern Arizona. The food is all made fresh and is definitely a family own feel. It is also one of the only places that is taking the COVID-19 stuff seriously, and I'm happy about that! The enforce masks, keep social distancing, sanitize everything, and all the stuff were a mask, gloves and are aware of their distance with guests. The food is the best part. It's some of the best Mexican food I've had in my life. If I lived here I would eat here everyday. So skip all the other restaurants and make sure you try this place out. Great food for really affordable prices.
